Our final game in a busy August programme sees us off to Warwickshire on Saturday where Nuneaton host us at their Liberty Way ground.
https://www.footballgroundmap.com/ground/liberty-way/nuneaton-town

Relegated from the Nat North last season and with a budget almost treble that of ours they were installed as one of the early season favourites to bounce straight back. To date they have yet to live up to their billing and their results have been less than impressive.

Losses at Rushden, Coalville and the opening day home defeat by Kings Langley have only been mitigated by a draw at Banbury and a 1-0 win v Needham. They currently languish in 18th spot with just four points to show from their five games.
Highlights v Rushden & Diamonds https://youtu.be/j4IZbCBAKvo

We've yet to bother the scorer on our two previous games v The Boro losing 1-0 on both occasions.

So both sides go into the game suffering from patchy form.
Jake Reed if fit could tip the balance in our favour as the Boro are prone to leak goals.
Coalville shoved five past them last time out.
We've yet to collect a point on our travels this term.
Could this visit be where we break our duck?

Safe journey to all those making the trip and could one of our intrepid awaysters provide a brief report on here please?

I would be interested to know what you base your views on LTFC 91 .I have been a critic in the past but I did wait until quite a way into the season. As to yesterday's game I can only sympathise with the players and management as they had to sit on the coach for nearly six hours in horrendous traffic and arrive at the ground only 45 minutes prior to kick off, hardly the ideal preparation

Report from Terry Lynes via EDP

As the Ressurected notes in his reply to LTFC91 it's very early in the season to read too much into our current league position.

Only a couple or so weeks back we were in a play off spot but I don't think any fan was contemplating a return this season to the National League set up. We currently don't have the necessary s for such a promotion push.

Give it ten games and then we can make a realistic appraisal as to whether we can better last seasons mid table finish.

Perhaps this season our best hope for glory will be in the FA Cup/Trophy.....we are long overdue a good run in either or even both of these competitions.

Expectations however must be tempered with a healthy dose of realism Tongue

Well I am entitled to my own opinion, but I think the club can be quite clicky, I used to attend quite regular but hate getting moaned at for having an alternative opinion. I begrudge paying 11 pound to watch crap, then out comes the excuse bucket "traffic" "the wind" "Brexit" or whatever else. Let's be frank you only loose football because your not playing well enough, nothing to do with lady luck or whatever. If loyal fans want to see the club hanging just above relegation each season wearing rose tinted spectacles and not willing to accept others opinions carry on. But if you want to see attendances climb, more money in the bank to invest in the club, you have to broaden your horizons. Frankly if it was not for Reed at the tail end of last season we would have gone down. The goalie last season utterly useless he got the ball and handled it like a hot potato. Lowestoft at the moment are a ridgeons league club in a semi professional league! The defence is sloppy far too many mistakes!
