Harrow Borough (A) 04/04/2018
2nd Apr, 2018 at 7:11pm

Another rearranged game. Previous preview.....
http://www.lowestofttownfcfansforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/Forum/YaBB.pl?num=1521219778

Having drawn a blank at Brightlingsea this afternoon, we can look forward to another tough away fixture on Wednesday evening, at Harrow.

Having taken a point from the West London outfit back in September......              http://www.lowestofttownfcfansforum.co.uk/cgi-bin/Forum/YaBB.pl?num=1506531826 ...... we could really do with a repeat when we pitch up at Earlsmead.

Our form would suggest that even a draw may be beyond us.
We managed to scrap a draw at Hendon 1-1, back in February, which was our only point in a possible 18.
Since then we've lost all five games played, scoring 2 and conceding 12!!

Harrow fresh from their 5-0 mauling of Enfield on Easter Monday will be full of confidence. Having secured a mid table place following a good run of form lately,  they possess in Cumberbatch and Moss, a front line that isn't shot shy. They succeeded, where we didn't, in overcoming a stubborn Burgess Hill.....
https://youtu.be/andPrWPzV-Q ...

It's going to be another backs to the wall effort on Wednesday. Let's hope we can sneak a draw. A clean sheet would be a bonus too.

Get your arse up to Stanmore or High Barnet and I'll stand you some solids. Some good eats in the area.

Pissing down as I type - Earlsmead doesn't drain too well...

Wise decision - pissing it down again now (as it has been most of the afternoon).

It'll be the CL in the local boozer for moi.

Going on the performance against Hendon on Tuesday night, show the same passion and spirit then this is a winnable game. Bottom placed Tooting can only get a maximum of 44pts so even a point tonight will put some more daylight between them and us.

Safe journey to the team and everyone else going. Very foggy in Lowestoft this morning.

FT: Harrow Borough 6-0 Lowestoft Att 113.

Lowestoft; Ware, Zielonka, Humphrey, Leacock, Cole, Mcauley, Langdale, Batlokwa, Machaya, Allen, Wren.
Subs; Youngman Parry Leslie.

A difficult away trip on an awkward day of the week with several key players missing as can be seen from the starting 11.

1-0 down at HT then 5 goals leaked in the space of 12 second half minutes;

The other stats.....

6 balls oog and three hardy Trawlerboys in attendance.
Special thanks to Murray who ferried the Prof and yours truly to Northolt tube.

Doubtless as I tap this out the Prof is still travelling.....the milk train to Norwich. 🚂😆

Burgess Hill lost at home to Folkestone 0-1
We lose no ground thankfully although our goal difference has taken a bashing.

Let's not despair though.
As a 'Boro fan pointed out, when the sixth goal went in........."we've got Tooting here on Saturday and we finish with Burgess Hill, we'll see you alright"

On tonight's showing I would reckon they can vanquish the bottom two as they did us. Perhaps not as comprehensively though.

And, if we can get some of the seven absentees back for Saturday's trip to the Plod, a point should not be beyond us.
