Off to the bracing Sussex coast on Saturday where Worthing host our third meeting this season.

Back in August we scrambled a 1-0 win at the Meadow.....

The Mackerels/Rebels exacted revenge for that loss when they saw off our best efforts 3-0 in the Trophy....a game which also saw AG 'resign', with a little nudge, from his managers role.

Since then Worthing have been on something of a revival which belies their current bottom position.
They have lost only once at home in six.
Their last outing v Burgess Hill........ https://youtu.be/ek31hCrwGwE
Kieron Pamment has an eye for goal as the previous video clip shows and is their leading marksman with 9.

By contrast our away form is at best patchy. 3 defeats in a row followed by the two wins at Leiston and Tooting. If offered I would grab the draw now.
The rebels fans views.....http://rebelrebels.proboards.com/thread/3968/rebels-lowestoft-town-sat-30?page=1...

With Worthing not wanting to be propping up the rest at the end of the year and only a point from safety I foresee a difficult encounter.

The first goal could again settle this one and I don't foresee a high ball out of the ground count either.
See you all there.😀

I didn't make it as I was roped into bleedin' domestic duties. Ronsdog is staying down that neck-of-the-woods this evening so no impartial report imminent.

Probably a decent point in the broad scheme of things.

We got one in the back of the net, Worthing twitter said

"79' - Lowestoft seemingly get their goal, with Jammani crossing to Foy who buries it, but it's called offside. Phew!"

The last Saturday of the season saw the Trawlerboys grab a point in a game that offered much but delivered little.

It could have been so different had the home keepers dithering clearance early on, which rebounded off Cotton, found the net rather than clattering the crossbar.
That was as close as either side went in a first half that was peppered with the home sides crosses failing to find the all important touch.

Jarvis partnering Cole at the heart of the Lowestoft defence saw his early volley dealt with by the home keeper and that was as far as our attacking intent ventured.

When called into action Dudzinski looked as reliable as ever saving from Pamment and Young in quick succession.

If the deadlock was to be broken then Alex Parsons was the most likely to provide the key. He found himself free on numerous occasions but the Blues defence was equal to his testing crosses and the home sides front runners rarely got the all important touch..

The second half provided more of the same but such was the resoluteness of our back line in dealing with the crossed ball that the game petered out into stalemate.

Foy did find the net from an offside position late on and that was as good as it got for the visitors.
We came for a point and were successful in our game plan.
Another point and a clean sheet to finish the year with would have pleased Brooksy.

The scorer wasn't even troubled for the ball out of the ground count. A first blank for the season and no winner.

Onwards toward 2018 then and better fortunes one would hope.
